I just found out about a new guesthouse in Addis and thought other adoptive families might like to know about this option as well. The New Flower Guest House is located in the Bole Road area of Addis not too far from the Bole Airport. The facility was opened by a woman with a strong interest in adoption. Because of this, the staff has been specially trained to be supportive to adoptive families.
The guesthouse has two floors and six bedrooms. There is a shared living room and dining room on the main level, as well as three bedrooms. The first bedroom has a king sized bed, a private bathroom and a balcony. The second bedroom has twin beds and the third bedroom has a full size bed. These two rooms share a bathroom down the hall.
The second floor has three bedrooms, a shared bathroom, and a shared balcony with a view of the city. if you are traveling, it is possible to rent a couple of bedrooms, or even the whole second floor of the guesthouse. Prices range from $22-$64 per night depending on which room you rent. Email contact@newflowerguesthouse.com if you are interested in renting several rooms together.

In addition, the English and Amharic-speaking staff can arrange the services of an English-speaking driver for trips in and around Addis. The staff is also willing to assist you in communicating with your new child if you need a translator.
A continental breakfast is offered every morning. Once a week a traditional Ethiopian dinner is offered by staff, complete with a coffee ceremony. You may also request meals at other times during the week.

We have very, very bad experiences with the owner of this Guesthouse, Nina T(also use the following names Sasu, Helen Wims) She cheated us for a lot of money.
We know some more friends she cheated too. Be aware of this nice looking woman.
