Do you have any recommendations for products to bring with us on the trip? Do I need to be thinking abot that? What should we be using on hair when we first bathe our little one. She'll be an infant.

Ok, fine. You got me. Stop twisting my arm! OW! OW! OWWW! (If my husband asks, I'm blaming the following on you, so just play along, ok?) I just ordered some of that pricey Blended Cutie shampoo and conditioner. These little girls and their hair products... I've become quite pleased with Carol's Daughter Hair Milk for moisture lately , after finally breaking down and really starting to use it even though the last tub o' stuff is not done yet. (So against my grain. What a challenge to my sensibilities all of this product-trying is!). But I still haven't found a shampoo/ conditioner that I like now that my daughter's hair is longer than little baby length. So here goes! By the way, I can no longer find Suave 2-minute conditioner ANYWHERE in our market! There's now a new, different deep conditioning product on the shelf, so maybe that replaced it? Oh, well. It was good for detangling.
Mary,
We didn't try the "down and out" ones because I was really looking for more of a moisturizer than a styler... We love the "Butter Me Up"...it really moisturizes the hair and defines the curls without making it stiff or sticky at all, and it lasts at least 24 hours looking great. I think that using the shampoo and conditioner along with it has helped too...the "Tug Me Not" conditioner is great stuff... a little goes a long way and I can comb Belane's hair right out after rinsing out the conditioner. If you like the scent and the product you might want to try the shampoo, conditioner and Butter Me Up.

I agree that the hair isn't as "shiny" as with the Carol's daughter, but it also isn't as greasy feeling...I like the soft feeling much better.

I hear you on using stuff quickly...we have three black girls and two boys...we go through lots of stuff!!!

Hugs,
