Hi Mary, I know what this is about - went through a period last winter with my then-6-year old... Thankfully she eventually came out of it, and so did I. But there were days I'd drive home from work dreading the evneing and just wondering what the blow-ups would be about that day, and hoping and praying we'd get through the evening without one.

Sad to see you're "retiring" (from this blog at least!!!). It has been a great source of info for me over the past year. I just returned from Ethiopia last week with my new son, age 4.5. He's a little sweetheart, but has a definite personality!!!! (What kid doesn't?!?) Now shtarts the work of attachment...

All the best in your new ventures.
Great post, hit a little too close to home for me! I'm afraid I haven't always been "there" when I should have been, but we're all improving around here. It's good to know that these feelings can happen to the best of us -- My son and I are working on "not being angry anymore" together. Just admitting that we felt this way seems to have helped immensely.
